After exploring our PTV Developer API references you often have the need to test different aspects and see what you get as a result. Therefore you can use our codes samples, tutorials and showcases. Of course, they are focused on a specific aspect and can not show all possible combinations. If you need more flexibility, you must go down to a request/response level.
To simplify this we now offer the new showcase Request Runner. This tool allows to send requests for all PTV Developer APIs (except the Account API) and explore the responses in detail. It is based on the OpenAPI specifications and all operations per API are available. Even the required query parameters are prefilled.
This all-in-one tool provides several advantages compared to using an external tool like Postman:
- It is no longer necessary to install and log on to an external tool.
- If there is geographical information in request or response available, it is displayed on a map.
- The job ID of asynchronous requests is prefilled in the next request.
Please note that request and response are not restricted at all. Therefore an API key is required to use the Request Runner.
