Find your ferry by text

To plan specific ferries and rail shuttles (so called combined transports) on a route, you need the corresponding start and destination coordinates. Recently, we offered the possibility to get a list of nearby combined transports around a coordinate (for example a point on a map) as you can see in this blog post. Now, there is a second possibility to find combined transports!

Besides searching around a coordinate, the method ‘getCombinedTransports’ of the PTV Developer Data API V1.11.0 allows to match a given text input (for example the name of the start port) to the name, start or destination of the combined transport. The result is a list of combined transports matching the input string.

To get familiar with the new feature, simply explore it with the corresponding code sample offering both possibilities! Further background information about using combined transports with PTV Developer can be found in this concept.
